FORTNITE: OG SEASON 8 RELEASE DATE AND MAP CHANGES

• • Season Launch: Fortnite OG Season 8 officially goes live on April 1, 2026, bringing back the pirate and jungle themes.
• • Endgame Return: The fan-favorite Marvel Endgame Limited-Time Mode is making a comeback on April 3 after seven years.
• • Classic Loot: The Baller vehicle, Flint-Knock Pistol, and Boom Bow are all returning to the active loot pool.

The nostalgia trip is set to continue, it seems, with Epic Games planning to launch Fortnite OG Season 8 on April 1, 2026. This update, as many will expect, takes players straight back to the time of pirates and yes, volcanoes, that people first saw back in 2019. A lot of fans have been waiting for this specific chapter to make a comeback, because it does feature what some will call the most unique items and vehicles ever seen in the game. Besides the map changes, they will have a remixed Battle Pass which will show off new versions of classic skins such as Luxe and Blackheart, with the intention to give long time players another excellent reason to jump back into things.

The main change which you will see on the actual map is that the jungle biome is making a comeback. Well known spots such as Lazy Lagoon and also Sunny Steps are replacing locations that are currently there; which brings back both the imposing pirate ship, along with the giant volcano, and that defined Chapter 1 Season 8 so well. These Points of Interest are not really just there to look pretty either; they give you some interesting rotation options as well as high-end loot. The volcano, especially, remains like a landmark as such, and people do expect it to play quite a big part in maybe some upcoming events inside of the game. And for people who really like to move around, the Baller vehicle makes its return too, and that lets players swing across what land there is without any real issues.

One of the more exciting things coming is that the Endgame mode returns on April 3. This crossover event, it was one of Fortnite’s first big ones, and the fact is it has not been seen in the game for seven years now. It is going to have those unique weapons and mechanics that are tied to the Marvel multiverse, so players can battle it out with some iconic gear.

Looking outside of the special mode itself, the standard loot pool is going to get a bit of a shakeup with the return of the Shadow Bombs, Poison Dart Traps, and also the Treasure Map too. These items really do encourage a pretty different playstyle, one that rewards exploration and fast movement across the map.
